Terms of service

Eligibility and agreement

SocialTap provides public and private messaging, groups, file sharing, voice calls, optional integrations, and profile cosmetics. You must be at least 13 and meet any higher applicable local age or permission requirements. Provide accurate age and account information. By accepting these Terms, you agree to these rules; our Privacy Policy explains data handling.

Your account and content

Keep your credentials secure and report unauthorized access. You retain rights in your content and grant SocialTap the limited permission needed to store, process, transmit, and display it to operate the features you choose. You must have the rights and permissions needed to share it.

Conduct and safety

Do not share child sexual abuse material, nonconsensual intimate imagery or sexual deepfakes; groom, exploit, threaten, harass, impersonate, or defraud people; infringe intellectual property rights; distribute malware; evade access restrictions; or collect others' information unlawfully. Obtain any legally required consent before recording communications.

We may restrict content or accounts to address abuse, security, legal obligations, or these Terms. Report a concern or request review of a moderation decision. You may report abuse without a recording or a SocialTap account. Do not upload illegal material as evidence to the public form.

Messages, files, and removal

Chat members may save or copy content. Private chats are access-controlled but not end-to-end encrypted. Files expire after 30 days, while the message and file metadata may remain. You can remove your own messages or request removal. Removal cannot ensure complete or comprehensive removal of copies elsewhere. Legal preservation may require restricted retention.

Points and cosmetics

Points are earned within SocialTap; this shop does not sell points for money, offer cash-out, or award randomized prizes. Points have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money. Eligible accounts, including teens, earn one point for an accepted message. Cosmetics and achievements are available to teens as well as adults. Disabling achievement tracking pauses achievement progress; accepted messages still earn spendable points. Purchases use the displayed point price and grant the listed items to your account. Bundles show their contents and adjust for items already owned.

Choosing defaults does not remove purchases. Discontinued items remain usable by existing owners while supported. Catalog appearances and availability may change. Account deletion removes points and inventory. Contact support about incorrect charges, missing items, or disputes. We will provide notice of material changes to these rules; statutory rights are not waived.

AI and connected services

AI chats are available to eligible accounts aged 13 and older, identify automated participation, and require each human participant's acceptance before sharing with an agent. AI output may be inaccurate and is not professional advice. An agent is software, not a person. You must meet your connected provider’s age and permission requirements. Connected services have their own policies. You can revoke access; external copies already processed may remain subject to provider rules.

Service availability and software

Features and availability can change. Update notices should explain changes and installation choices. We do not guarantee error-free service. These Terms do not exclude any rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
